About this tour

The City Tour in Cusco is the beginning that will put you in contact with the amazing Inca culture, known as the wonderful city of Cusco – “Navel of the World”. The tour lasts half a day, allows you to visit the most important tourist attractions in the city and surroundings:

  • The Cathedral.
  • Inca Temple of the Sun “Qorikancha,”.
  • The Inca archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay and Pucapucara.

This tour is not to be missed, you can do it the first day of your stay in Cusco, as long as you arrive in Cusco before 11am. Our company organizes it every day.

In the Morning City Tour you will NOT visit the Cathedral or Qoricancha.

Cusco City Tour in the Afternoon ▼

To start the tour, we pick you up at your hotel between 13:00hrs to 13:25hrs, the tour ends at your hotel or at the Plaza San Francisco, which is 4 minutes from the Plaza de Armas (central square of the city).

  • THE CATHEDRAL OF CUSCO. The Cathedral or Basilica Cathedral of the Virgin of the Assumption, is the main temple of the city of Cusco, the visit begins in this place entering through the church of the Holy Family, the entire cathedral and the Church of Triumph is toured.
  • QORIKANCHA – CORICANCHA. We continue with the visit of the most important temple of the Inca culture, the Qorikancha was the center of a complex religious system, turning the city of Cusco into the Sacred City of the Incas, nowadays we can observe the advanced technique of architecture and engineering that the Incas developed.
  • SACSAYHUAMAN. Inca Archaeological Center. The “ceremonial temple” of Sacsayhuaman is with its megalithic walls, the largest architectural work that the Incas made during their heyday, from which you can see a unique panoramic view of the surroundings, including the city of Cusco and is located 2 kilometers from the city.
  • QENQO. Inca worship, dedicated to the magical religious rite, are of particular interest its amphitheater of circular shape and its subway galleries.
  • TAMBOMACHAY. Temple dedicated to the cult of water, also a special place where the head of the Inca Empire could rest. It consists of a series of aqueducts, canals and several waterfalls that run through the rocks, currently the origin of the water that runs through its channels is unknown.
  • PUCAPUCARA. It is a military construction composed of large walls, terraces and staircases; it was part of the defensive complex of Cusco.
