MACHUPICCHU WITH LAKE TITICACA 8 DAYS AND 7NIGHTS

Day 1: Arrival to Cusco – Transfer to Hotel

Day 2: City Tours

Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Inkas – Train ride to Aguas Calientes (Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 4: Full Day MACHUPICCHU Tour – return to Cusco

Day 5: Excursion to the 7 colors mountain – same day in the evening trip to Puno

Day 6: Arrival to Puno – Tour Floating Islands of Uros and Amantani (Overnight)

Day 7: Visit Taquile and return to Puno (Overnight) Day 8: Transfer to Juliaca Airport – Return to Lima

Our team will be waiting for you to welcome you and take you in a van directly to your hotel (there will be a sign with your name and the Agency’s logo).

(8:40 a.m.) pick up from the hotel and we will start our exclusive and unique tour designed for you. We will visit:

• The temple of the Sun Qoricancha; enclosure of gold in Inca times; which was decorated in gold and silver in its entirety, as well as temples to the Moon, the rainbow, lightning. Etc.
• Colossal Saqsayhuaman and megalithic constructions in well carved stones
• Quenqo, Puka pucará and Tambomachay famous Inca temples.

We will return to Cusco at 2:30 p.m.

This day we will visit the famous Sacred Valley (7:30 am), pick up from the hotel and start our walk. Where we can appreciate the great view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, formed by several rivers and rich soil.

• In Pisac we will have a walk around the complex observing the immense terraces made by the Incas, where Andean agricultural products were cultivated and all the history of the place, free time to take pictures.
• Then we will leave Pisac to go to Urubamba, place of lunch, we will taste the Peruvian food with a variety of dishes, salads, soup, and many delicious desserts. On the way we pass through many villages and each one has surprises and anecdotes that we will tell you.
• Then we will visit Ollantaytambo, a city of Inca origin and a beautiful example of urbanization, thus having a clear idea that this was a military, religious and cultural center. It also has remarkable water channels made of stone, where Ollantaytambo is a sample of technology and architectural engineering of the Incas.
• We transfer to Ollantaytambo train station to travel by train to Aguas Calientes in tourist service (16:36) upon arrival to our staff will be waiting for you to take you directly to your hotel (the transfer to the hotel is on foot for 5 minutes, because in Aguas Calientes there are no cars for being a very small town).

That same day our assigned guide will pick you up at your hotel for the respective explanation to climb Machupicchu the next day.

On this day our assigned guide will take you to the ecological bus station towards the entrance gate to Machupicchu, it will be an unforgettable experience, where our guide will tell you all the history that surrounds the mysterious Machupicchu llacta.

Enough time to take pictures and visit important points of the Inca city: terraces, stairways, ceremonial enclosures, main square and urban areas.

Then at the appointed time we descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have enough time for shopping and lunch.

In the afternoon return train ride to Ollantaytambo station, our transfer will be waiting for you to return to Cusco.

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:40 a.m. We will leave the city, travel time of 2 hours to the community of Cusi Pata where we will enjoy our energetic breakfast, then we will continue in our van for 1 hour and 30 minutes to PULLUWASIPATA which is located at an altitude of 4,600 m.a.s.l. approx.

Where we will begin our hike through a slightly demanding trail, for an estimated time of 2 hours.

We will arrive to Vinicunca which is located at 5,020 meters above sea level to enjoy the nature and the snow-capped mountains. Where we will have enough time to take the best pictures of the 7 colors mountain.

After enjoying the wonder we return by the same route to take our lunch and then return to Cusco 4:00 pm. Approx.

On this day we will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30 pm. To go to the bus station to Puno in a journey of approximately 8 to 9 hours, our transfer will be waiting for you at the terminal of Puno to take you to your hotel to leave your bags.

8:00 a.m., transfer from the hotel to the port. After sailing 30 minutes approx. we arrive to the Uros Floating Islands, a very old native community, formed by a group of more than 40 islands, which are built with totora reeds by its inhabitants. Here we have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, (optional ride on typical Totora boats). We continue our trip in the same boat until we arrive at Amantani Island, where we will be warmly welcomed by the families of the community. Accommodation in a villager’s house. In the afternoon after the typical lunch we have a walk to the ritual center of Pachatata. Place where we will observe the sunset and the landscape of the place. In the evening after dinner with the family we have a small meeting in a local community where they will share, dances and culture with their families.

Farewell breakfast with the family, at 8:00 a.m. we leave towards the island of Taquile, after 40 minutes of travel we arrive at the island Taquile, then we have a walk of ascent observing the landscape and daily activities of its inhabitants.  Arrival to the square and visit the handicraft center to observe their fine fabrics considered as a unique textile heritage.

Almuerzo en restaurante local. Descenso por el lado opuesto de la Isla (530 peldaños) y Retorno en la misma embarcación con dirección a Puno, arribo 4:30 pm aprox. y traslado al hotel. (Pernocte en Puno)
